"I am a Program Manager for Vitamin Angels (www.vitaminangels.org), specifically for our partners in Latin America and the Caribbean– I am in the process of mapping where all of our partners are located and stumbled across your site. Part of my job is also identifying new partners to connect with vitamins, therefore it is great to see what other partners (relative to ours) are working in a given country. In looking at a few of your maps, I have found some of our current partners listed (such as Heart to Heart International, World Vision, ChildFund, etc.), which has been cool to see!"

"NGO Aid Map has greatly enhanced the visibility of the location, projects, assets, and capabilities of NGOs around the world. This data, overlaid with PDC’s risk and vulnerability data and multi-hazard monitoring provides decision makers with essential information needed to make informed decisions before, during and after a disaster."

"Your web page allowed me access to information about several organization in Haiti where a joint partnership between my organization and theirs would greatly benefit the country and its people. However, the NGO I am associated with is not listed on your page."

"I liked that there are lots of different filters (org, location, donor, etc.) as it enabled a much more efficient search. I used it to look for Nutrition and WASH projects in Asia (laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh) for use in pre-proposal research. I also used the map to look for HIV/AIDS care and treatment projects in Zimbabwe, also for pre-proposal research. I found it to be fairly useful for locating project names and partner orgs/sub grantees, but I needed more in-depth information on the projects for what I was doing. It would be great if there was more information on project activities, etc., or links to where that info could be found. "

She mentioned that they had been contacted by another organization(s) who were interested in partnering with them because they had seen GCH's information on NGO Aid Map. She also mentioned she was hoping to use the map to find partners to support Ebola efforts. GCH is an in-kind health organization, so they have a lot of supplies that could be useful.

"[It] is one of the most efficient resources for identifying organizations that are working within countries. It allows me to know with the click of a button who’s working where and potentially what they’re doing, which really helps faculty who are searching for in-country partners on research grants, and students looking for international employment.”

"Our organization has benefited from reflection about our project management database, prompted by data needs for NGO Aid Map. We have improved our internal reporting systems and accountability as a result of missing information."

"It shows us what everyone else is doing, we understand also that others are reading it and know what we are doing. It is very good tool to show who to coordinate with in our operation area. It helps also remote monitoring; If I have to verify our activities without going there I can easily approach other peer organizations in the Aid Map. It is also useful tool for networking with other potential partners. It can help finding opportunities for aid funds from donors once we know which donors are most likely donate to our operational area in the Horn of Africa."

"We have received at least two donations from this site, but difficult to tell if they were a direct result of the site or a last stop for the donor."

"We have definitely benefited from participating in NGO Aid Map. Our project info is available in one place, both for employees and external audiences, and there are many benefits to that. It's a great knowledge management strategy and with it being embedded in our organizational website, allows people to see the snapshot of our current work and learn more about specific projects. As the map evolves, we will be able to provide even more information. The interactive nature of the map makes it a fun tool for people to use."
